NORI  prototype

Bentwood chair. At the Promosedia Caiazza Memorial Challenge in Udine, we were invited to design a chair. The prototype were manufactured at Formholz Becker.

Patrick Frey has created the Nook stool and bench in collaboration with the German furniture brand Vial. The furniture series is made using a unique material called VarioLine®. The material is widely used in automobile and marine industries, but has been used in furniture design for the first time. The VarioLine® is also weatherproof,  UV-resistant and easily recyclable. Both stool and bench are made from the single piece of material.

Patrick Frey was born in Seoul, South Korea. In 2007 he founded Patrick Frey Studio for Design.  The studio is working for companies such as Nils Holger Moormann, Bree, Authentics, Richard Lampert, Elmar Flötotto, Vial  and others. In the first year Patrick Frey already won the highly endowed prize for junior designers, the Lucky Strike Junior Design Award.  Many of his products won international prizes, including the iF Product Design Award, Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award, Design Award  Baden Wuerttemberg. 2010, he teaches at the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim.

Inspired by deep sea fish, kiddie lunchbags, and that scene in Romeo and Juliet where they stare at each other through the fish tank. Snaksak encourages you to get past your fears and take risks… all the while keeping your lunch from being crushed into unrecognizable bits.
