The ANANTI Kumkang  Mountain
SKM ARCHITECTS

The house is situated on a small site, when three streets are meeting. The need of maximum space use and south exposition pushed the house into the curve generated by the car turning shape. The curved façade, from north-east to north-west, seems very closed and massive, clad with a snake-like steel skin.
At the ground level, a punched steel curved door slides to let the garage wide open, and later in the same curve the central staircase reveals an intimate space drenched with natural light. The rooms are south oriented and open to a preserved garden. When outside, the small streets of Itaewon are busy with black cars looking for their way, people living here will enjoy a peaceful garden, the amazing views of Namsan Mountain and the Han River with a smile.
