Gentle Monster Shanghai IFC Store's theme "Frogism" is a new word combining Frog and Sadism. In George Owell's Animal Farm, 1945, he tells “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” The mischievous act of observing and touching a frog in our childhood represents the sadistic psychology lurking in the human mind. This psychology is reinterpreted in to Shanghai's space design. The vivid color, and unexpected interaction of the frog is expressed throughout the space into unique and abstract installations.
