When I was a little kid, my mother used to knit things like gloves and sweaters for me. Since I have grown up, those sweaters and gloves became too small for me. But those were one of kind things with my mother's love. In a way, I knit electric wires. They will always be one of kinds. My own kind of unique design.

To define a new decorative side of an ordinary material,
I have explored different materials to see how it works different ways.
On this concept, using 'felt' as material was the ultimate solution.
Normally 'felt' is used in covering the floors of the automobile interior or for floor coverings. However; I found 'felt' very flexible and attractive
for its convenient use and extraordinary feeling of its surface.Thus, I decided to play with it a little bit and wondered how I can cultivate it into an attractive figure. I decided to laser-cut the 'felt' material into an iconic pattern,
which can be linked to each other. I chose ice flake as my motif since it is an easy pattern,which is well-balanced and symmetrical in shape.Link it big or link it small, ordinary object can turn Gorgeous!

When I was a little kid, I used to live with my grandparents in a farm village.
I can still remember the time helping my grandparents to grow plants and vegetables.There were lots of large sheaves of rice straw after the harvesting season. Whenever I saw them, they always made me warm and gave me comfort. Now here in the city, whenever I get emotionally and physically torn down, I look back the time when I was there with my grandparents. After a few minutes of reminiscence, I go back to my daily routine.I named this stool "zip" Korean world for rice straw has the same pronunciation as English word "zip." When the time comes, this will decompose and go back to where it was born. - Kwangho Lee
