“Space perception”
If the “space” would not exist, that means we, as human-beings” would not exist. However, the disappearance of “some” space in one’s view, lead to the emerging “appearance” of human-beings, somehow, “The space” is enhancing our appearance.
And, the significance of “appearance” is an absolute to fashion.
In terms of “space”, it includes everything such as a movement, object, of course, ourselves. “Space” may metaphors something “Stand-still”, however, when it includes some objects or bodies, then it captures the movement of those, those movement or actions somehow distort to make perception of space between the movements or our bodies, objects.
The laddering and twisting the leather have been used to represent the movement. When the laddering shape moves, it moves in different ways, creating “disappearance” in some areas and accentuating the movement of the shape.
Also I applied different prints on each outfit, each print has created after the process of reflection, distortion of the laddering shape.
The main fabric for this collection is metallic color coated leather,
The mirror box, was an inspiration for colour palette as well as fabric select for this collection. Also diversity of nude tones for main body shape illustrated the clear distinction as it represents the natural body, Whilst metallic colours represent some object which is from space of its movement or distortion.
For main garment fabric I’ve chosen something flexible and light like silk, lycra, power mesh.
