Kirk is a very light chair made from aluminium for indoor as well as outdoor use. The concise alignment of the bending edges and sharp profiles result in a fascinating contrast while the generously built shell of the chair is very comfortable to sit in.

The aluminium, made from a special alloy, is bent accordingly into the shape of the seat shell before the edges are being folded to increase stability. The seat shell resembles a lightly formed sheet of paper loosely hanging in a framework.

Wheeljek  - W Hotel designers of the future project
Aluminum, wood, mixed materials

The wheeljek collection is inspired by the fast-paced city of Bangkok, which doesn’t stop moving, even in the most stifling heat. Cars and masses of people fill the roads, while vendors push carts filled with refreshments and tropical fruit creating micro-destinations for food, drink and festivities.

These carts seem to facilitate Bangkok’s commercial and cultural exchange. The vendors creatively adapt their cart’s fundamental construction to the product and the environment, finding an idea of the fluidity and flexibility in a layered and chaotic terrain.

My vision is to bring the Bangkok street vendor carts from the street into the interior space. Depending on the boxes, which have different proportions, on the object, can have different functions. And at the same time it is mobile and flexible, and serves its function as a cart.

Poke Hanger, 2013

Kyuhyung Cho made a hanger with sticks and two rings inspired by a surrealist, René Magritte, to create poetic imagery in our everyday life.

The main part of the hanger is a combination of a steel pipe and two solid metal rings which are heavy enough to be stable as a hanger. It is possible to add wood poles to the main part depending on your situation.

When you make a hanger with the main body and wood poles, it displays a surrealistic moment; the small ring floating up in the air without any connection to the ground, poles standing by themselves. Furthermore, you can play with gravity by hanging your clothes or hats on it.

Main Body: Small Ring Ø 180 mm, Large Ring Ø 360 mm, Height 1600 mm
Wood Pole: Ø 25 mm, 1650 mm
