Rain 2010 S/S Collection Photography: Seung Mo Hong

This collection started from the rain. In general, rain is often used within the works of numerous artists to reflect depressed moods. However, rain is considered as an element that gives birth to life and nature while it can eliminate them at the same time. Likewise the elements of the nature such as oxygen, sunlight and wind enable nature to change an object through oxydising, erosion and corrosion.

The effects of the elements also can give interesting changes to fabrics. I focused on this phenomenon but it is not repeatable in real-time. Hence, in my collections bleach was used since this process of bleaching transforms the colours and texture.
Through the experimentation I found that the way of folding bleaching is very interesting since it makes geometric patterns, it could be effective way to show the bleaching technique more uniquely
