Unusual sofa by Lila Jang was a part of Artistes Parcours Saint Germain 2008 in Paris, where the creations of young artists were exhibited for 3 weeks in Saint-Germain-des-Prés luxury stores. The sofa by Lila Jang was exhibited at the baby clothing store Bonpoint belonging to the famous French childrenswear couture house.

Eclipse,  Bar Stool



For high style and aesthetic, the ‘eclipse’ bar stool is made out of hard maple wood with satin black paint finish and comes with a chrome metal footrest. Inspired by a folding circle, ‘eclipse’ looks thin around the edges, but it is thicker than it seems.



The seats are narrowly smoothed out throughout the edges, but as it gradually moves toward the center the wood frame is curved inwards and creates a thicker mass which provides maximum comfort. This elegant and sophisticated looking lightweight stool with its sleek legs and a chrome footrest are the perfect compliment to any modern space.

The title of this work is “Folding Chair”. Although folding chairs have received lower reputation or anticipation in general than normal chairs do, I regarded folding chairs as a worthwhile challenge as a diploma work for MA study requiring both aesthetic and functional aspects.



I aimed persuasive simplicity with an“A” shape folding chair, the most ordinary type of folding chair,with ash wood, respecting the material and focusing on achieving coherence and consistency on its design.
